Product Definition: Copper tubing manufactured specifically for HVACR systems. These tubes are cleaned, dehydrated, and capped at the factory to prevent internal contamination.

Q1: Why must HVAC and air conditioning (ACR) systems use pancake copper coils? Can ordinary water pipe copper tubes be used instead?

Absolutely not. ACR-grade copper tubes undergo special degreasing and internal drying during production, and are sealed with
nitrogen to ensure no moisture, oil, or dust inside the tube. Ordinary water pipes may contain residues, which will contaminate the refrigerant and damage the compressor once entering the air conditioning system.

Q2: Why is copper purity (C12200) so important? 

C12200 (Phosphorus Deoxidized Copper) usually has a purity of over 99.9%. High purity ensures excellent thermal conductivity and prevents cracks during bending and flaring Low-quality copper tubes (high impurities) are prone to electrochemical corrosion and refrigerant leakage.

Q3: How to choose the correct tube diameter according to air conditioning capacity?

 It depends on the cooling capacity (tonnage or HP) of the system. 1HP -1.5HP (9k-12k BTU): Usually equipped with 1/4"(6.35mm) liquid tube and 3/8"(9.52mm) gas tube. 2HP - 3HP (18k-24k BTU): Usually equipped with 1/4" or 3/8"liquid tube and 1/2"(12.7mm) or 5/8"(15.88mm) gas tube. Recommendation: Always refer to the equipment manufacturer's service manual

Q4: If the plastic caps on the tube ends are missing upon receipt, can the tubes still be used? 

Use with caution. Plastic caps maintain internal nitrogen pressure and cleanliness. If the seal fails, moisture may have entered the tube. It is recommended to purge with dry nitrogen before installation and check for obvious oxidation or impurities inside.
